Aluminum Free Deodorant

During radiation therapy, many radiation oncologists discourage the use of standard drugstore deodorants that contain aluminum. There are a variety of reasons, like concerns that the aluminum could interfere with radiation dosage, or that the interaction between radiation and aluminum could irritate sensitive radiated skin. Regardless, switching to an aluminum-free deodorant is an easy way to comply with this directive without succumbing to stinky sweat stains. Botanical Burn Balm

Our friends at Polish Your Parts developed this calendula infused balm specifically with radiation patients in mind. Properties in the calendula root are known to alleviate the sting in burns. The balm is easy to apply and should soothe sensitive skin.

Calendula Soap

Calendula oil is known for its anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. This soap smells fantastic and should be gentle on tender skin.

Cancer Patients rate ice packs in their TOP 5 most requested items.  These are the ideal size for chemo port and radiation-sized burns. The sweat-free ice packs do not leave damp marks on clothes.
